We request that you contact us as soon as you can. Volunteers have families and work outside the home. With this in mind, for most cases, expect that it could take at least two hours before a photographer is able to be at the hospital if not longer. Advance notice when possible, is greatly appreciated.

Gentle Wing volunteer photographers provide the free gift of professional quality portraiture. Gently retouched heirloom quality portraits are delivered digitally. A license for usage allows the photographs to be printed by any photo lab if not ordering from Shootproof.
Normal turn-around time for the families to receive their images is one week but on average under 48 hours. If needing images sooner we are able to email a few on request.

At your request, we will have a Gentle Wings photographer come to your location for a private photo session. Our photographers are dedicated to making this portrait session as loving and sensitive as possible. As a hospice patient, Gentle Wings will come to the bedside while family and friends may be saying their final goodbyes.

We as volunteers do our best to cover 24/7. If needing services after 10pm please do not hesitate to call yet if you are able to call ahead of time to arrange that will make things smoother.

We are not subject to HIPAA privacy laws because we are invited into the hospital or residence as a guest of the family. This has been verified by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Civil Rights, which oversees HIPAA law. We do ask all of our photographers to keep all sessions private and to not discuss details with anyone.
